Madonna co-hosts gala auction

The 15th annual amfAR charity auction in Cannes saw host Sharon Stone joined by Madonna, Mary J. Blige and Sean "Diddy" Combs. amfAR, the American Foundation for AIDS Research, managed to raise 350,000 euros (560,000 USD). With a global recession looming, this is the first time the auction was conducted in euros and not dollars.
