Teen Battling Sanfilippo Syndrome, aka ‘Childhood Alzheimer's’

Sixteen-year-old Logan Pacl from Washington is living with Sanfilippo syndrome. This rare neurodegenerative disorder, caused by a gene defect, affects the brain and spinal cord. Children lose skills, suffer seizures and movement disorders and experience pain, according to the Cure Sanfilippo Foundation.
