Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele ordered members of rival gangs to be mixed up in the country's prison cells, where they were previously separated to avoid quarrels. The decision came as a response to the rise in the number of homicides in the country that are presumably ordered from jails during the mandatory isolation by COVID-19.
